CD Update                         

All computers must be exited from the Computer Age program during the entire update process.

  1. Check the CD for damage suffered during shipping. If damaged do not use.

  2. From Computer Age Utilities menu, select Load Trojan/ Other Software

  3. Select Trojan Load/ Update.                   

  4. Put the CD in the computer.

  5. Select where the Trojan disk is, click on the down arrow and select CD drive D: (It may already be defaulted to this drive). Click OK.                                                     

  6. When the CD has finished copying, select Finished

  7. The update will begin processing

  8. When update has finished processing, you have the option to print the delete list. This list will give you the plans that have been deleted from Trojan that you have been using. You have the choice to print a hard copy or view from the screen. With updated patient information, the Trojan Service Department can assist you with those plans. If you do not want this list, click Cancel.                                                                            

  9. Close the Utilities menus. Computer Age can again be used on all computers.

 

DOS update

  1. All computers must be exited from the Computer Age program while update is processing. This will take 1 hour or more.

  2. From the main menu, E, C, Y for each diskette

Diskette Update procedure, Managed Care

  2. From Computer Age Utilities menu, select Load Trojan/ Other Software

  3. Select Trojan Load/ Update.                   

  4. Put the CD in the computer.

  5. Select where the Trojan disk is, click on the down arrow and select CD drive D: (It may already be defaulted to this drive). Click OK.                                                     

  6. When the CD has finished copying, select Finished

  7. The initial load will begin processing

  8. Close the Utilities menus. Computer Age can again be used on all computers.

Adding Plans to Computer Age

Adding a new Trojan plan to Computer Age            Email or print it 

  1. In the Patient Information screen, choose MISC at the top.

  2. Choose Pt Insurance Information

  3. Slide over to Primary Dental. You now have a blank Insurance Plan Info Screen.

  4. Click on New Plan at the top left, enter the Trojan plan number.

  5. You now will be back to the blank Insurance Plan Info screen.

  6. Retype the new Trojan Plan ID number.

  7. Enter the carrier code and press enter

  8. The carrier will come up in a list. Highlight the carrier you want and click <Ok>.

  9. Tab to Employer Line. The tab key must be used for the rest of the entry on this screen.

  10. Starting with the employer name line fill out the Employer info and continue through screen filling out each field. Other field should be zero. You will need to delete extra digits on Maximum Individual line.

  11. File, Save

Adding a new Non Trojan plan to Computer Age        Email or print it 

  1. In the Patient Information screen, choose MISC at the top.

View Trojan DB outside Pt File

  1. Start, Programs, Computer Age

  2. System Setup, Employer/ Insurance Setup, Insurance Plan Information

  3. enter employer name, plan ID, or group number, double click the magnifying glass icon to see search results.

  4. When the desired plan is selected, click File, misc. to view Trojan benefits

Viewing in DOS

  1. from Main Menu, select System Setup (#7)

  2. select Employer Information (#4) then enter employer name

  3. or, select Insurance Plan Information (#5) and enter the Trojan plan number

  4. F7 to view the carrier information of selected plan. the plan can only be printed from this screen. F2 Misc. and select T for Trojan report

  5. F8 to view notes (N) and fee schedule (F)

Viewing plan connected to a Patient

  1. With patient screen open, click on Misc.

  2. Drag to View Insurance Plan

  3. Click on Primary Dental or Secondary Dental

  4. Click on Misc.

  5. Drag to Trojan Data

  6. To view screen, click on numbered folders show at top

  7. When finished, click <Ok> option shown above to the right of the screen and return to employer information

  8. To view notes and fee schedules, click on Misc. and drag to choice

  9. To print or close, click on File and drag to choice

Linking Trojan plan to Patients

  1. Click on Patient Information File

  2. Click on Pri Dent in the middle of your screen  

  3. Double click the magnifying glass symbol

  4. Enter employer name, search will start               

  5. Choose desired plan name and click <ok>        

  6. this will link Employer name to patient

click View MCT Address

Computer Age Errors and Some Useful Functions

     
Error 52 Comes up during the beginning of the update process

Computer Age language for "Hey, you! I can't read the disk."

Remove disk and check for damage. Re-insert and try again

Replace disk if needed

Error 57 Spot on the disk that cannot be read Select the re-try option

Replace the disk if needed

Error 68 Comes up during the beginning of the update process

Computer Age language for "Hey, you! Wrong Drive."

Either the disk was not inserted, the incorrect drive was selected, or the drive is simply not working

Check disk on another computer

Replace update if necessary

Delete report shows an error This could be either on the screen or printed hard copy Per Computer Age support that means there are no plans being deleted that they have attached to a patient
When running the update Computer Age is open some where.

  1. from Main Menu, select System Setup (#7)

  2. select Office Setup (#1)

  3. F8, E date of last Trojan update will display

  4. Blank the date, F10 to save

  5. Exit out to Main Menu

Un-attaching a patient from a Trojan Plan

  1. From a patient screen, select Misc.

  2. Subscriber Assignment, select none

Re-Indexing the data files in Windows version

  1. Start, Program, Computer Age Windows, Utilities

  2. ALL USERS MUST BE COMPLETELY OUT OF COMPUTER AGE    

  3. Click on Repair Database

  4. System will start indexing immediately
