Linking Trojan Plans to Patients
Linking step 1
With Trojan you can search for Traditional plans by Policy Number, Insurance Name, Employer Name, Group Name (same as Insurance Name), or by the Trojan ID, as in the first example below. You can search for Managed Care plans by Trojan ID, Insurance Name, Plan Number, or by the Plan Name as shown in the picture marked Figure 16.
Traditional includes indemnity and PPO plans
Managed Care includes DMO plans
This is the search results. Click View Plan to see detailed information or print a copy.
When the plan is located, click Import Plan and the Trojan plan will be added to Dentimax. The following dialog box will appear.
Click OK
To see the added insurance record in DentiMax, refresh the Insurance Information screen by double clicking the heading of one of the columns or changing the Search by value.
The Trojan ID field now contains the Trojan ID of the plan you imported.Linking Step 2
To add the plan to a patient record, open the Patient Information screen, click the Insurance Information tab, and select the plan by clicking on the magnifying glass in the primary insurance field
After clicking on the magnifying glass, it will take you to the Insurance Plan List where you can select the plan you imported by typing in the Trojan ID. See screen below.
Double click on the highlighted plan to add plan to patient record.
Insert the Trojan List CD in your CD drive, and the install process should start automatically. If it does not, click Start, go to “My Computer” or “Computer,” and double click the CD icon.
Click Install
Trojan Integration Software, as shown in Figure 1.
Note: If you are using Windows Vista, you may need to click Allow This Program.
The install screens open, as shown in Figure 2.
Click
Next to continue the installation.
As shown in Figure 3, the Select Destination Location screen shows the folder in which the program is going to be installed.
The program needs to be installed in the DentiMax folder; normally you can click Next and continue. If you installed DentiMax in a different folder than the default location, click Browse, locate the DentiMax folder, and click Next.
In the Select Additional Tasks screen, you can have the program install a desktop icon. This has no impact on the program. See Figure 4.
Click
Next. In the Ready
to Install screen, click Install,
as shown in Figure 5.
By clicking Install, the program starts to download and install Trojan List on the computer.
The
screen will look like Figure 6.
Once the installation is complete, the last thing is to click Finish when you see the screen shown in Figure 7.
Now that you have successfully installed the Trojan Integration Software, you can open the Trojan List from within your DentiMax program to install the Trojan plan data.
From the Dentimax main screen, select Lists,
Insurance Plan List.
Then Trojan List from the left side menu. Insert the Trojan Initial Load CD.
Select Update Now
Select the Full file from the Trojan CD then click Open.
The program will begin copying from the CD.
The program will begin processing Employers, Carriers, Fee Schedules, then Notes.
When the processing has finished, the following screen with appear.
Click Okay.
The delete report dialogue will appear. There are no deletes in an initial load. Click No.
When you get to the following screen DO NOT CLICK START AGAIN! Close the window with the red X.
Search for a test plan by selecting your search criteria as Employer name and typing the employer and clicking search.
