This warning (looks like an error pup-up) comes up every time you try to run a stand-alone type program (i.e. Credit, Eligibility, Stand Alone). This only happens when it is being accessed through a network.

It is specific to XP Service Pack 2. The reason it comes up is that most .EXE programs are run locally and the data is access through the network, but our programs' .EXE runs across the network. Here is the work around. This will not work on XP Home Edition or Windows Vista.

  1. Start, Run, type "gpedit.msc," click OK

  2. Go to User Configuration, Administrative Template, Windows Components, Attachment Manager

  3. Click on the "Inclusion list for moderate risk file types"

  4. Click Enable and type in the text box "*.EXE"

  5. Apply or save, close window and open the stand alone program again.

For Windows Vista

The Web User ID and Password in the communication settings of the program they are using to connect to Trojan, do not match what is in the Trading Partner Screen.

  1. Go to clients account screen.
  2. Click on Options at the bottom.
  3. Click on Trading Partner Screen on the right.
  4. Note the Web User ID and Password there.
  5. Have client go to Communications Settings Screen of their Trojan program. It could be the Trojan Communicator, or any of the Stand alone programs including Express Collect.
  6. Click on Change Settings. They will need the daily password from the Client's Screen, title bar.
  7. Have them read to you the Web ID and Password on the left hand side. It will not match what is in their Trading Partner Screen.

  9. Save. Test Communications.

If this does not work, create a new Web User ID and Password for the client.
