Using the Trojan Benefit Downloader Program       

Double-click the Download Benefit Update icon and your download will begin.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The file transfer status screen will show the progress as each file is downloaded.  The time remaining is indicated.

 

 

   

When the download is complete you will be prompted with this screen:

 

 

Click option 1.

 

 

This will minimize the Trojan Benefit Download program and allow you to update benefits in your Practice Management System.


Updating the data in Easy Dental

The steps are minimal to updating your Easy Dental system.  If you are unable to run the Trojan Update now, please call Software Support. DO NOT DOWNLOAD A SECOND TIME!

 

                      Double click the Easy Dental Trojan Update Utility Icon.

If you do not have this icon on the Windows desktop, then you can click Start, Programs, Easy Dental Trojan Viewer #., Easy Dental Trojan Update Utility.

  

When you have entered the Easy Dental Trojan Update Utility, click on Database Update.  You will see the screen below, alerting you that the database will be modified.  Simply click on OK to continue.

 

 

Be sure all computers are exited from the Trojan Viewer and remain out for the entire update process.

  

 

You will then be prompted to choose the location of your updates.  In the Install Update from: box type the path of “C:\tro” then click on OK to proceed.

 

 

 

 

 

The Easy Dental Trojan Insurance Update will immediately begin to process your update.  You will see a series of events processing.  This is an example of one of the events that you will view.

 

Do not interrupt the update process once it has started.

 

 

Once the update is complete you will see the following screen where you simply click OK.  Then click File, and Exit to exit from the Easy Dental Trojan Update Utility.  You have now completed updating your Practice Management System with the latest Trojan Benefits. 

 

Completing the Process 

Now that your Practice Management System has been updated you will need to finalize the Trojan Benefit Download Process. 


Click on the Trojan Benefit Update Download program that was minimized to the Windows Task Bar (at the bottom of the screen). 

 

 

 

You will be brought back to this screen. 

 

You are now ready to select option 2) Click here only after you have processed the Trojan Update.

 

 

 

 

Confirm that you have processed the update by clicking Yes. 

 

  

The Trojan Benefit Download program will close and the benefit files that were downloaded will be purged to free up space on your computer. 

 

The entire Benefit Download and Update process is now complete

 

Easy Dental Errors

Cannot Find Database (12) The Trojan Data path is not set correctly.
My Computer, Network drive, EzDental folder, EzReg, Look for Trojpath

Double click Trojpath, this path should go to the Trojan folder in the EZdental folder

 

Database Conflict!

The version of the database does not match the version of the program. Program version = EZD2005.

Database version = EZD2007

Appears just as Updating Easy Dental begins.

This is new and may have to do with the client's Easy Dental version update. When you click <OK> you may get "Unable to open the database" error

Trojan path is not correct in EZ REG Select Edit Path and browse for Easy Dental\Trojan

This is not an error with the disk, it is an error in the Easy Dental.

Confirm this error appeared after the CD was copied and once the update began to process.

It does not  hurt to have the client try a rebuild of the data files and try to access Trojan again.

Refer to vendor support.

To Exit the update with these errors occur

  1. Client may try to <enter>, <enter>, <enter> several times to get passes the message.

  2. If this does not get them out of the error messages, refer to vendor support. CTRL+ALT+DEL to end task will wipe out their Trojan and they'll need a new load.

Error #30    Copying file    cannot perform update Most likely a bad spot on the disk they are copying. Replace the disk
Come up after clicking the first NEXT during the 6.0 install Search for EzDental\DATA\Dtxdata.inf
Edit this file to reflect the following:
Version=EZD2011.1
Release_Version=EZD2011.1
When done installing the 6.0 - Change those values back to:
Version=11.4
Release_Version=11.4
Frozen during update Is this during Copying any disks?  You can safely CTRL+ALT+DEL. Try a new set of updates or try on another computer.
Is this during processing?  Once it start processing, the vendor program is working. We do not know how to safely exit this process and not damage data. Refer to vendor support.
TRINTF.EXE did not start. No Trojan updates performed The error comes up in the 6.0 after copying, during processing.

Sometimes you can just click okay and it will continue

Trojan Path Could Not be Found Is this during copying the update? They didn't type in the entire Path for "Trojan Insurance Update path" Click okay to the error message. They are taken back to the desktop. Start again. Put in the correct path to CD or Tro folder
When you click the Trojan viewer button in the family file. Reinstall the 6.0 CD at this computer. No need to uninstall first. You may have to select the Server install
Missing the mcfull.exe file in the download

should have all these files

Call Wanamakers and tell them the mcfull.exe file is not downloading.

This appeared on a Vista machine just after the office replaced the update computer. The EDL works just fine. Click okay and the message goes away, a TRINTF.exe error appeared then the update finished. The file path has no Trojan in it.  Referred client to Easy Dental support.

  1. Insert CD in computer, close window if it opens by itself

  2. Start, Programs (or all Programs), Easy Dental Trojan Viewer, Update Utility

  3. Database update, <Ok>, uncheck "update plans in Easy Dental," type in CD drive, <Ok>

Install a Vendor Initial Load from Web

  1. go to trojanonline.com and log in (must be administrator not user)

  2. click on the Vendor Initial Load button under My Downloads are Ready

  3. click run

  4. default destination is C:\TRO, <next>

  5. Start, Programs (or all Programs), Easy Dental Trojan Viewer, Update Utility

  6. Database update, <Ok>, uncheck "update plans in Easy Dental," type in CD drive, <Ok>

 

Viewing Trojan Outside Patient Files

  1. Look for a Trojan Viewer shortcut on the desktop

  2. If no shortcut exists:

    Start, Programs (or all programs), Easy Dental Trojan Viewer 6.0, Viewer

 

Viewing Trojan Linked to Patient Files

  1. Open the Family File for your patient

  2. Click that Trojan icon on the tool bar   

  3. If the benefits fill in, the patient is attached to a Trojan plan.
